Witty Premium - Advanced charging technology

Thanks to Hager's many years of experience in electrical installations and international pilot projects by carmakers such as Renault, Toyota, Peugeot and BMW, Hager brings to market a safe and easy-to-install range of witty charging station products. The witty product range is designed to be standard equipment of a home or commercial electrical installation. Thanks to its flexible and forward-thinking design, witty is ready even for future developments. The new Hager witty home and witty premium charging stations are suitable for charging electric vehicles, such as hybrid and electric cars, electric bicycles and scooters. The witty premium has some additional features that differentiate it from the witty home with the most basic being the presence of the RFID detector (radio frequency identification). The user accesses the charging station only by using a card to charge his electric vehicle. Also, to prevent theft or vandalism, the charging cable can be locked onto the station plug. For this reason the witty premium is suitable for applications where the licensing of the station is necessary, such as in private and public parking, in commercial and industrial buildings, in parking of hotels, shopping malls, shops, etc.

Materials according to the standards

• Hager witty home and premium charging stations support two types of charging, Mode 2 and Mode3. The combination of both takes place in some models.
• Mode 2 charging type is done through a special socket outlet which is located on the charging station. It is suitable for electric vehicles, electric bicycles and scooters in slow charging.
• Mode 3 charging is the fastest and safest way to charge an electric or hybrid vehicle. Charging is achieved through the special charging cable with type 2 plugs (XEV423 / 424/425). It is suitable for electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles in fast charging.
• As required by IEC 61851, all safety protocols are followed, such as ground resistance control. In case of power leakage to earth, the charging process is stopped immediately and this guarantees the maximum safety of people. The type 2 plug has been specially designed for this purpose and is available in a wide range of charging stations.
• In addition to the Mode 3 option or the combination of Mode 3 with Mode 2, the 7kW / 230V and 22kW / 400V versions are offered.
