Autonomous Smoke Detector 9VDC GNS-366S
Protection and early warning in cases of smoke detection. Easy installation in any place for better safety.
The standalone smoke detector is a 9V DC photoelectric smoke detector. Operates on a 9V battery (6F22), with a minimum lifespan of one year. With photoelectric technology, the GNS-366S is suitable for detecting smoldering fires, the smoke of which can burn for hours before a flame breaks out. The GNS-366S should be installed in every room (except the bathroom) and every other area of the house, ensuring that people in the house will be able to hear and respond to the alarm sound. For greater protection it is recommended to place it in the hallway between living room (including kitchens) and bedroom. Place it close to where you live to ensure, as much as possible, that the alarm is audible in all bedrooms.
How It Works
A photoelectric sensor uses a light source and a light sensor to measure the density of smoke. The light source is continuous, but the light beam is at an angle away from the light sensor. When smoke enters the chamber, the smoke particles scatter some of the light in the direction of the sensor. As the density of the smoke increases, more light is dispersed to the sensor. When the amount of light scattered on the sensor reaches a predetermined limit, the device enters an alarm mode and the horn will sound.
Once the smoke alarm is installed, a small (LED), below the test button, will flash about once a minute in normal operation. If smoke is detected the unit will emit a loud pulsating alarm until the air is clear again.
