Cable strippers Stripping refers to the removal of the outer sleeve of the cable.

A special tool is used to first cut in a ring around and then along the length of the cable. Cable sleeve cutters are available in a wide variety of versions.

Important: When stripping, the insulation of the inner wires and the wires themselves may not be damaged.
